Mørkevandring - The Walls Resonate With a Haunting Double

Vandrestaven Udstillingspunkt inviterer dig til at komme med på en mørkevandring. Vandringen starter ved Sognsvann st. kl 20.00 og går op til Gaustad gruve. Lysene stopper ca der hvor man drejer væk fra stien rundt Sognsvann og resten af turen kommer til at foregå i mørke. Fremme ved Gruven vil Erle Saxegaard afspille en særlig version af sit lydværk 'The walls resonate with a haunting double'. Et lydarbejde baseret på lyde samplet i jerngruven ved Sognsvann.

Erle Saxegaards (f.1991 Norge) arbejde tager udgangspunkt i skulptur og lydinstallation. Ved at interagere med lyden fra objekter eller steder undersøger hun resonans som et muligt sprog der kan bruges til at få kontakt med objekternes liv.

Kan et objekts resonans opfattes som genstandes liv? Er det muligt for mennesker at kommunikere med objekter gennem lyd og resonans? Ved at le, snakke eller råbe vil ens stemme nogle gange træffe den frekvens der får væggene eller genstandene omkring en til at vibrere. Som et svar til et spørgsmål. Resonans er som tingenes hjemsøgende ekko.

Erle Saxegaard har en MFA fra kunstakademiet i Oslo.

Vandrestaven Udstillingspunkt invites you to come along on a walk in the dark. The walk starts at Sognsvann st. at 20.00 and goes to Gaustad gruve. The lights stop when the road turns away from the lake and the rest of the trip will happen in the dark. When we reach the old mine Erle Saxegaard will play a version of her soundpiece 'The walls resonate with a haunting double'. A soundwork based on sounds sampled in the iron mine of Sognsvann.

Warm beverages will be served.

The work of Erle Saxegaard (born 1991, Norway) takes shape as sculpture and sound installations. By interacting with sounds from objects or sites she investigates resonance as a possible language which can be used to get in contact with the life of objects.

Can the resonance of an object be understood as the life of the thing? Is it possible for humans to communicate with objects through sound and resonance? By laughing, talking or yelling, one's voice sometimes hits the right frequency that makes the walls or objects around them vibrate. As an answer to a question. Resonance is like the haunting ecco of the things.

Erle Saxegaard holds a MFA from the Art Academy in Oslo.
